ARCHALP N. 10 2023 – Le altre montagne

Un lungo viaggio esplorativo alla scoperta delle montagne e delle aree interne e rurali del pianeta ha messo in evidenza come queste siano tornate in gioco come spazi dell’abitare, del produrre e del pensare una nuova interazione con l’ambiente. Questo nonostante fino a poco tempo fa si pensasse che la migrazione della popolazione mondiale verso poche aree urbane fosse ineluttabile. In occasione del decimo numero, la redazione ha voluto spingersi con curiosità al di fuori dei confini alpini, verso le altre montagne del mondo. Attraverso sondaggi puntuali e verticalizzazioni regionali e nazionali il numero indaga il ruolo dell’architettura come sintomo dei cambiamenti culturali e di immaginari in atto.

A long exploratory journey to discover the mountains and inland and rural areas of the planet has highlighted how these have come back into play as spaces for living, producing and thinking about a new interaction with the environment. This despite the fact that until recently it was thought that the migration of the world’s population towards a few urban areas was inevitable. On the occasion of the tenth issue, the editorial staff wanted to venture beyond the Alpine borders towards the other mountains of the world. Through punctual surveys and regional and national verticalizations, the issue investigates the role of architecture as a symptom of the cultural and imaginary changes underway.
