NA.TUR.ARTE. L’area Wilderness Val Parina tra ospitalità, arte e natura

NA.TUR.ARTE. The Val Parina Wilderness area: hospitality, art, and nature

NA.TUR.ARTE is a cultural and environmental regeneration initiative developed by the municipalities of Dossena and Roncobello, within the Val Parina Wilderness Area in the Bergamo Prealps. Supported by the Italian Ministry of Tourism, the project investigates the relationship between art, nature, and community through contemporary and digital artistic practices. It integrates artist residencies, site-specific installations, and immersive digital experiences aimed at reactivating abandoned or overlooked sites. In collaboration with GAMeC, TuoMuseo, and various local institutions, NA.TUR.ARTE fosters a shared awareness of territorial identity and promotes sustainable models of creative tourism. Artists such as Julius von Bismarck, Francesco Pedrini, and emerging collectives have developed works that actively involve residents as co-creators in the creative process. Through exhibitions, performances, workshops, and educational initiatives, the project reinterprets mountain heritage by intertwining tradition and innovation. It envisions new forms of inhabiting Alpine contexts, strengthening community ties, and ensuring cultural continuity across generations.
